Hi

Thanks! It was a surprise to me that he was even interviewing. I thought that he was going to be going back to school, but this opportunity came up and the money was just a bit more tempting than school at this point. With any luck, this company should have a decent tuition reimbursment program and he can do both. We'll see.

It's kind of a great thing he got the job (better hours, non-hazardous work environment, more pay) and also kind of a bummer - I've been thinking about trying to move back to Minnesota and this kind of puts a little wrench in the plans. I think I need to get a new job either way though, this current one isn't fitting quite right anymore. Either way, he starts in two weeks, starting pay is 40k, which is more than my sad non-profit salary.

Sorry to hear that Erik hurt his shoulder, that's a bummer. Hopefull the MRI should clear up the mystery behind the pain!

Also, I think #2 the cat needs to go. She's just peeing non-stop and there is no medical reason for it we're told. It's just a tad too much to deal with right now!

Hi!

I agree with Krista about the dating agencies/websites - go for quality, there is plenty of quantity on there! Lately, I keep hearing things about www.eharmony.com ( I think Jean mentioned this site a while back). It costs 50 dollars but I hear it's the most comprehensive when it comes to taking the time to figure out your personality and match it with others. And www.match.com is a good one to join just for the sheer number of people on it. There have got to be some good eggs in that basket!

Job has been a tad crappy, to say the least. It's been a pretty stressfull and hectic past few weeks. I had to work on the weekends, stay late, come early, not eat lunch, etc... in order to get through the pile of work! Last week, tensions got so high, I almost walked out and never came back! Oh well. It's getting a little better this week, still busy though.

On a brighter note:

Jean, Happy Birthday tomorrow! Wish I could be there to celebrate with you - you'll have to have a fun night out on the town and tell us all about it!

Jeaner,

Hope you feel better! I know that there have been a bunch of people at my work who have gotten sick lately, must be something going around. About the PMS blues - I had quite the scare - I was three weeks late with the period (I finally got it)! I had pms blues for about a month and I was thinking that they might be preggers blues! But, hooray for moi, they were not. Regardless, whatever ails you, I think it's good you're giving your body a break. Those med school programs work you poor people to the bone! So, kick back, relax and catch up on some good t.v. :)

Talk to you later!

Hey Krista,

It wasn't exactly a mugging, more like a pick pocketing, but irritating just the same! Hope all is going well with you, Darcy is in town and she came to the museum today with her boyfriend Jay's son from a previous relationship, his name is Keegan. I took them on a tour around the place and I felt pretty sorry for Darcy. That kid is kind of obnoxious and it's clear that he's running the show.

Yesterday, Matt's cousin Dawn left town, after staying with us for 5 DAYS! She was in town for some conference and apparently could have gotten a hotel room paid for by her company, but opted to stay with us instead. This girl goes to bed at 8:00 every night and complains about everything. I thought she was only staying over night, and then I found out she never booked the hotel room. I was a bit peeved. I couldn't relax for 5 days. I think I'm going to crash this weekend :)

Other than that, work has been really busy - we're getting ready to launch a website all about the Museum's commitment to preserving Biodiversity and everything is running behind and piling up. According to my horoscope, Mercury is in retrograde and everything is going to the crapper! I'll be happy when the week is over! Yay!

love becks.

Jeaner and Dobs
Thanks for the kind words...
I did get pickpocketed, and I had just taken out 40 bucks in cash. I don't think the restaurant had any cameras, but I know for sure that Marshall Fields got some good tape of the fucker!

Maybe for my next photo, I will get a glamor shots photo session done so I can have a sort of soft focus, big hair sort of portrait for my license. I think that would really be ideal. Do they even have Glamor Shots portrait studios around anymore? Check this out! Ha Ha!

So listen to this:

Some asshole stole my wallet last night while I was out to dinner with a friend and went and bought himself a couple pairs of fancy $150 cargo pants from Marshall Fields. And grabbed about $400 from my checking account. I'm telling you, it's hell to deal with. You have to make about 15 phonecalls to all of the credit bureaus, banks, credit card companies, etc.. to cancel everything. At least though, the upside is that the theif took my bad driver's liscense - the one with just my chin. I'm going to have to come home to get a new one now.
