Here is my two cents on your situation....

As you know I am not as into the godly guys (i seem to get the ex-godly guys...matt was an altar boy!) as you are, but to each their own! My question to you is - does he need to hang out with this group so much? Does this benefit his beliefs? I'm concerned that you are feeling that the women in the group are not making you feel more welcome - that doesn't sound like an ideal situation for you. You guys are still dating, he should make sure that he makes enough time in his life for you! I think you're right to wonder about this, I would! I can relate to this in a different way - I used to fight with Matt about the amount of time he spent with his activist groups and feel guilty at the same time because I knew he did this because he believed he was working towards worthy causes...who could argue against peace?? But the more I thought about it the more I thought that the time he spent away was hurting the relationship and a balance needed to be struck. If he couldn't spend the time to maintain the relationship, then I was ready to walk. So enough discussions (arguments) occured and I finally got my point across. We're now at a good balance, he cut back on his schedule and we make sure to make a conscious effort to make more time for ourselves.

To fill you in on what I've been up to, my mom is in town and staying with my sister and the baby through saturday, I've started and stopped a home search - we decided in late january that we should try to get out of this apartment we're in now - and we thought, instead of signing another apartment lease, why not see if we can get a decent mortgage rate and buy a place! Well, the mortgage brokers kicked our asses! Our credit is worse than we thought and we decided to resign our lease for another year and work on getting our credit to a better place.

I'm going home to Minnesota with my sister and the baby for a week on March 6 - so hopefully Krista and Rebecca, you might have a little bit of time to get together?

Lastly, a big Happy Birthday to Rebecca!!! I hope you have a great day and most importantly, a RELAXING day!
