I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and have a great new years. Erik and I scurried about to 4 celebrations in a row with one more to go, so we've been busy, busy, busy, but had a really nice time, too. Erik found out that he passed his final set of boards yesterday-Yeah! So we are on track for opening his practice in Eagan in February. My cousin Katie (the one who is my age) had her first baby last night. Little Mallory is 7 1/2 pounds, and was born here at Abbott, so I hope to visit her later today. Best of luck as you start up your rotations again, Jean. Take care you guys,

Hi everyone!

Friday, June 09, 2006

hi all

I hope the reason why the board has been so quiet is that everyone is leading busy and fulfilled lives!

The weather here in Chicago has been gorgeous lately - and it's gotten me in the habit of taking walks along Lake Michigan during lunch.

Our Tut exhibit finally opened up at the end of May and since then, I feel like a big weight has been lifted off of my shoulders - everyone around work was getting so incredibly tense worrying about what could potentially go wrong with the opening weekend of the exhibit that it was really getting a bit too much to deal with. I started breaking out in hives!

Matt is graduating in 2 weeks with a 4.0 average! I am so happy for him, it's taken him a long time to go back to school and although Devry was not his first option, it will get him a degree which is the goal! To celebrate, we are going to a Radiohead concert (his favorite band) in a few weeks. It should be fun!

I hope all is well with all of you!

A new Dr from Texas

Hi Jean!
I forgot to write about this in my reply to Becky.

We have a new Dr from U of Texas San Antonio who will be one of our Physiatrists coming this August. His name is Dr. William Ahlenius, is he someone you know or have heard of?? Is this the same program that you went through? If you know him, what do you think about him?
